TE 803 was a course specifically centered around integrating differentiation into instruction. The course focused on gathering vital student data through observation or assessment and utilizing that data to promote positive change in pedagogy. I enjoyed how theory was paired with application throughout the course with weekly reflections and dialogue. Overall, this course had a fantastic impact on my classroom.

CEP 810 was the first course that introduced me to Technological, Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) and its utilization in practice. The course enabled me to develop my practice by networking with various communities. I was able to establish a network of professionals, resources, and tools to aid with my personal growth. The end result was a self-grading quiz that I coded throughout the semester.

Adapting Innovative Technology to Education |

CEP 811 was focused on turning innovative technology into educational technology for learning. The course promoted Makerspace Education through implementing hands-on learning in an online setting. I was even able to digitally redesign my classroom through CAD software and eventually implement the changes. The most fun I've ever had learning was during this course as I was programming my interactive map of Michigan.

CEP 812 allowed for practical application of educational technology skills into pedagogy. The course had a semester long project where I was able to focus on the issue of online learning and how to improve the current system through innovative means. The end result was a polished website on Massive Open Online Courses. My findings in this course eventually lead to a shift in district-wide policies regarding online learning.

CEP 822 developed research skills through detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis of professional research. This is where I originally pursued the research of Massive Open Online Courses and their potential to be accredited in a secondary education setting. From this course, I was taught me how to properly record qualitative data, calculate standard deviation, and chart trends in educational data.

CEP 813 brought forth new and innovative ways to design assessments. Throughout the course I analyzed the key traits of authentic 21st century assessments and how to implement them in practice. I designed assessments through online platforms and even integrated Minecraft as a form of engaging assessment. The end result was the creation of an in-depth rubric on what essential qualities made assessments effective.

CEP 820 was the most relevant and engaging course in the MAET program. Throughout the semester, I explored innovative ways to deliver content and assess students in a digital setting. I created my own experimental online course which utilized MOOC and Adult Learning Theory styled designs in a secondary education setting. The course encouraged me to pursue professional interested and experiment with online education.

CEP 817 is a course centered around integrating design thinking into education. Throughout the semester I utilized the design thinking process to tackle a problem of practice that I was experiencing as a professional. For this semester-long project I chose to focus my attention on creating cost-effective authentic online assessments. The break-down of this process has shown me some deeper issues with the current state of online education.

CEP 807 is a semester long professional portfolio construction and academic reflection course. The course utilizes in-depth peer review and encourages students to showcase their overall academic growth from their time in the MAET program. Through reflection and showcasing, I have been able to actively track my professional growth over the past year. The content of this portfolio is the final product of this course.
